Updated: April 19, 2010 The mission of the FACES coalition is to advance the economic security and stability of Virginia Peninsula families and individuals.We achieve our mission through: (1) Free Tax Assistance - To increase the number of federal tax returns prepared for low-income, elderly, disabled, and non-English speaking through the Volunteer Return Preparation Program (VRPP) (2) Free Financial Literacy Education - To provide the ability to accumulate assets and move out of poverty to self-sufficiency. (3) Community awareness programs - To educate the community about Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Advanced EITC (AEITC), and Child Tax Credit (CTC) This organization invites those who wish to support our citizens to volunteer and participate. FACES serving the Peninsula is an interagency initiative made up of non-profits, inter-faith, city, public and private agencies. First Call for Tax Assistance (757) 594-4636
